2010 Thornhill Village Festival Cancelled

This has not been an easy decision for SPOHT or the Festival Committee to make. Much thought and in-depth discussion has resulted in the decision to cancel this year's Festival. A formal announcement will made via the local newspapers. "2010 Thornhill Village Festival Cancelled" ... "Due to circumstances beyond control of The Society for the Preservation of Historic Thornhill (SPOHT), The Thornhill Village Festival will not take place this year. After 34 years of uninterrupted presence in Thornhill on the 3rd Saturday in September, concerns regarding the date have prompted the cancellation of this year's Festival. We extend our sincere regrets to both our regular and new vendors, crafters and entertainers and, of course, to the many local residents, community groups and supporters who look forward to the Festival every year. But we will return... bigger and better than before! The 2011 Festival is already being planned and we look forward to welcoming new and old friends on Saturday, September 17, 2011. Please mark your calendars right away! You'll be hearing from us."
