The Society for the Preservation
of Historic Thornhill makes Thornhill Archives accessible to
everyone wishing to learn more about Thornhill history through the
extensive documentation in our collection. Historians,
genealogists, students, and others, are encouraged to come and see
what the Thornhill Archives has to offer.

How to access the
Archives |
The Archives is run entirely by volunteers,
therefore research is available by appointment only.
The Thornhill Archives & Special Collections is located in the
Thornhill Village Library at 10 Colborne St., Thornhill.
PLEASE NOTE:
The Thornhill Village Library staff cannot
provide access to the Archives. You can not arrange an appointment
through the Library staff. Access is only available through the
Thornhill Archives Committee.
Please contact us to arrange an appointment.
We regret that our facility
is not wheelchair accessible at this time. If this poses a
restriction for you, please inform us and we will make alternate
arrangements.

General Information for
visitors
|
The Archives has photocopying and scanning
facilities, however, if you require photographic or higher quality
copies, please allow at least one week for us to carry out your
request.
You may be asked to wear cotton
gloves when handling certain items. These are provided.
We request that all notes be taken using pencil.
